RACE DAY CHECKLIST

Must Bring

  • Race Bib /w Timing Chip & Safety pins
  • ID/Passport/Medical Insurance Card (if any)
  • Running Top
  • Shorts
  • Socks and Shoes

Optional

  • Water Bottle
  • Vaseline or other anti-chafing lotion
  • Watch
  • Gloves (such as cycling gloves or workout gloves)
  • Gels or sports drink if you’ve been training with them
  • Towel and extra change of clothes to wear after the event

CAR PARKING There is motorbike and car parking available at Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila

WEAR YOUR RACE BIB Put on the front of your torso and make sure it is clearly visible, pinned in all four corners and is not covered by jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc. The timing chip will be attached to the bib, which is unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle). Runners are required to cross the timing mats located at the Start, Finish and other timing locations, otherwise, no result will be provided.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

ARRIVAL TIME Please ensure that you arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled start time. Please head straight to The Arena at 6/F to warm-up and deposit your bag.

BAG DEPOSIT Please do not deposit any valuable item(s). While maximum care and security will be enforced, the Race Organiser will not be responsible for any loss or damaged items. Participants who choose to use this service may do so at their own risk.

CHANGING ROOMS & TOILETS are located at The Arena, 6/F Kerry Sports Manila.

BEFORE YOU START

TEAM CHALLENGE & FULL CHALLENGE START The start line for the Team Challenge and Full Challenge is located at 2/F Lobby of Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila. Runners must line up behind the start arch at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.

HORIZON CHALLENGE START Runners will be gathering at The Arena at 6/F (you will be transferred to your start at 22/F).

FUN CLIMB START Runners will be gathering at The Arena at 6/F (you will be transferred to your start at 39/F).

DURING THE RACE

COURSE CONDITIONS

Shangri-la at the Fort, Manila is a newly completed building and all stairs, railings, and running surfaces are in good condition. Standard running shoes should be adequate for this event.  Before reaching the starting line, runners should make certain their shoes are securely tied.  Loose laces can cause one to trip and fall while ascending the building. It is good practice for runners to double knot shoelaces for safety. It is also recommended that runners avoid participating with any accessories or loose-fitting jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, large earrings, etc) that might fall off during the climb.

WATER will available on 2 points during the race (22/F, 39/F).

DIRECTIONS Race officials will be deployed along the route for safety. Runners must follow instructions given by the race officials during the race.

SAFETY REMINDERS

  • For security reasons, backpacks, canes, crutches, walkers, walking sticks and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course.
  • It is recommended that athletes keep only one earbud in to be able to hear directions from race officials.
  • While runners are welcome to take pictures, selfie sticks are prohibited on the course and finish.

FINISH LINE All races will finish at the Penthouse on 61/F.

WATER is available after the finish.

PENTHOUSE: WEATHER POLICY

Access to the outdoor area of the Penthouse is dependent on the actual weather conditions on race day. In the event of rain or strong winds before or during the event, the finish area will be moved to the indoor area of the Penthouse, following the rules and regulations of Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila.

These policies have been established to provide a safe racing environment for all participants.

AFTER THE RACE

AWARDS CEREMONY will start at approximately 1:00pm for the Team Challange and Full Challenge categories. If you think you have won a prize, please approach one of our staff at the stage.

PROVISIONAL RESULTS will be published on the event website within 24 hours from the end of the race.

PHOTOS will be uploaded soon after the race.
